This summer has been amazing.
I went to lagoon on my birthday, Idaho last friday, laser tagging with my friends, shopping with my mom, and overall time to just sit down and read.
Needless to say, I'm falling behind on the six packets I need to finish before school starts, but I will get there...
I bought--Well, my mom bought--make up and make up brushes yesterday.
It's actually a weird story why.
Our air conditioning broke tuesday, and it was so hot in our house that it was colder OUTSIDE.
So at around 10, when I couldn't take it anymore, I took my ipod outside and sat on the porch looking at youtube videos. I didn't really care what I watched, so I just typed in cute and easy make up.
And it came up with all this stuff, and so I started watching it all, and now I want to start learning how to do it.
And So yesterday I bought everything I need for a really simple looking make up, and I'm not too bad at putting it on! Yay!
I want to start buying more make up whenever I have the money :)

It's summer
And that means it's time for:
Sunburns
Hammock laying
Long Walks
Swimming
Visiting old friends (Which is currently happening. I'm currently on my friend Brittany's lap :) )
Watching movies all night
Harry Potter book reading marathons (With Brittany Freaking out about fablehaven)
Asking my mother to go to Virginia again
Making up cool "C" hand gestures with Courtney
Frequent trips to the store to get junk food
A new summer wardrobe!
Reminiscing about the old days in Virginia
Crying during Monsters Inc (Yeah, I do cry EVERY time Sully has to say goodbye to boo...)
Missing Brittany and Courtney when they leaves to go back to Virginia.
Yeah, I love summer. This has been a great summer, and it's only the second week! I mean, Brittany, Courtney, Danielle, Emily, Michael, Brendon, and Bradley, and their mother Michelle are staying at our house, and it has been so much fun.
My dad and their dad, Mike, have been friends for a really long time, and so we've known each other since we were very little. And it's so nice to see them!
It's going to be so sad when they leave Saturday morning, because they're so great.
I want to go home with them, but I don't have the money to stay and do things in Virginia. It would've been a whole different story if I had saved money...
But I'm excited for summer!
Because in 28 days, I'll be seventeen!
I want one of those Time-Turner necklaces that Hermione had in the third book/movie! they're so cool! So I asked for one of those, and, of course, a Yoda Backpack.
The thing I've wanted for, like, 2 years :)
I don't know, I just hope this summer will be great.

What I like about having a best friend.
1. We never know who started saying something first (As in, what I started saying that he started or vice-versa.)
2. Being able to know exactly what they are thinking when they make that face.
3. Talking about the most random things but they're completely relative to you two.
4. Hanging out all the time (even though, we haven't really done much of that lately...)
5. Just being like brother and sister.
6. Both freaking out when someone says that we're secretly in love with each other (Speaking about that, today when I was in the church bathroom, two of my friends in my laurel class said that they just wanted us to get over it and start falling in love, because then it would be like those romantic movies about the best friends where the guy is in love with his best friend but he doesn't tell her, and has to deal with her talking about the guys she dates. But here's the thing: Not gonna happen)
7. Talking all the time about anything whenever they feel like it.
8. When your best friend doesn't go to YM/YW's when you're sick, and just coming to your house.
9. Freaking out when you don't go to a recognition dinner because you didn't tell him you weren't going. And telling you to kidnap him.
I don't know, it's just great.

There's something special
about turning in an application for a presidency.
Sure, I probably don't make it (Don't even try to console me if you do, it's just true and sure it hurts but I don't really mind. And also, I can say it because it's never happened to me. haha), but there's something about putting your heart and soul into the application, I guess.
I ran for the Pioneer Player Presidency for '10 - '11, and it's an election thing. I was running for the publicist/artisan. But I didn't make it past the Preliminaries.
David became President
Max is VP
Mckell is Secretary
Kaylin is now Chief financial officer
Brittany is now Historian
Kelsey is Activities/publicity (they combined those two)
and Jill (again, duh) is Technician.
So duh, I didn't make it.
But I am running for appointed. There are so many people running for that, so I made a lot of effort to make it known how much I want this and why I would be good for the position.
I told her about how I didn't care about my grades until I decided that I wanted to do something with my life. So I decided to change my attitude.
So yeah.
I really want to do Senior rep, but IDK.

Stake Dances
Can either be really fun, or just plain horrible.
I've had experiences of both. Mostly horrible ones, lol.
The last two stake dances I went to, I had a good time, though.
The one before tonights, I got asked to Winter Ball :D
And this one was just really fun :D
David and I just did interpretative dance during one of the slow songs, haha.
That's always fun with David.
And you know what's one of the most fun parts about Stake Dances?
When you're burning up so badly that you decide to go outside with friends for "fifteen minutes" to cool down, and you end up sitting out there for the next hour. I just think that's really fun, because you get to talk about a lot of things, and you can hear your friends, and you usually end up laughing so hard you have to go to the bathroom.
Well, that depends on the group you're with, but today it was nearly like that.
I love stake dances. :)

The Ballroom coach, Calvin choreographed a dance to this song...
It made me cry. He's a really good choreographer.
He depicted a dance about abuse, and it was really good.
But I couldn't find the actual video, so this will do.

Is it really over?!
So I just finished reading "Fablehaven". The fith book in the series. And can I just say...
HOLY. CRAP. Man, that book was so good, and it just...
WOW. I can't even put words to it because there's so much I want to say, but then (if ever someone would ever read this blog who would be everso inclined to read fablehaven) I would give it away!
But let me just say: I thought I was in love with Warren; I swear Bracken TOTALLY has him beat :)
Anyway. It is one in the morning, but I stayed up to finish the book. So I should probably go to bed, seeing as I have school tomorrow.
And really, everyone should read Fablehaven because it's that good.

It's the little things in life that I appreciate the most.
My mom bought me stuff. Like a golden headband, a pink Revlon Ionic hair dryer that I adore.
I also bought a pink shirt that's really cute, and some foundation. The best stuff ever. It's so great.
Too bad I have a freakinig sty again so I cannot use any make up until it's gone. Which means I can't use it until i can wear eye make up :(
Oh well.
I've gotten really into making myself look pretty and presentable lately. Because, really, where am I going to go in shorts, tee shirts, and my hair greasy and up in a pony tail? On what not to wear, that's where. Okay, not really. But still.
I just feel so much better when I'm wearing make up and looking presentable. That doesn't mean i'm not going to have those days where I'm like "screw it" and wear shorts and a tee shirt with hardly any make up, but who doesn't have those days? Girls who just want to make them look really fake. Yep.
But i'm always up to pictures. I'm not one of those girls who gets all dressed up every single day of her life, then whenever a camera comes out, she freaks out and covers herself.
Even boys do that! What is up with that?!
Anyway.
So some updates.
I auditioned for Musical Theater...
I was a little nervous for the audition, but not so nervous that I felt like I was going to puke. No, Nudd has encouraged me so much to be the best I can be, so I didn't totally die.
And the cast list was posted Friday.
AND I MADE IT! Oh man, I'm so excited. I still can't believe it though, just because I made it :)
I sang "Shadowland" from my all time favorite Musical "The Lion King" and I'm actually proud of how much emotion I put into that song.
I wouldn't have had that much emotion if it weren't for Crystal, though. She told me right before I was going into my Audition that I had to picture my house on fire, and I would have to live on the street because I had no where else to go.
And what was funny was that I nearly cried when I sang the part that said "This shadowed land... this was our home." Because that's what I pictured.
So yeah :)
Uhm... Anything else to report?
I don't know. :)
So I'm going to go.

Girls Camp
I keep thinking of a specific memory I had during my second year at girls camp.
Our ward was pretty small, and only four of the girls from the ward went to our Girl's camp that year. Of all of the wards, we were the smallest, and we bunked with another ward. We took up two of the bunk beds.
On the first night, our camp director crawled into the bottom bunks with two of the girls, and me and my other friend climbed down and lay with them. We talked for a little while, and it was really fun.
I just can't believe that I went from such a small ward to a ward with fifty seven girls. We'll never have that "let's all climb into one bunk and talk all night" moment with all of the girls. It's just so amazing the enormity of our ward...

Superboy and the Invisible Girl.
"I wish I could fly. And magically appear and disappear. I wish I could fly, I'd fly far away from here. Take a look at the invisible girl, here she is, clear as the day. Please look closely, and find her before she fades away..."
I really love the musical "Next to Normal."
It swears a lot... But it has so many life lessons...
And it relates to life REALLY well.
I love it. :D
So something made my day today. I hugged my brother today, because he didn't say hi to me, and when I came home, mom told me that I had made his day. And because I had made his day, it made my day.
It inspires me to really make an effort to love my brother, no matter how much we butt heads. :D

Dear Earth,
Dear Earth,
You have brought me so many beautiful memories of the spring breeze blowing the hair out of my face, the spring sun that's never too hot, but always perfect, the springy grass that I get to run on during the spring. You presented me with the feeling of the type of coldness you get when you sled for three hours; how your nose is so frozen, you don't know if it's there anymore. You've provided the beautiful flowers that grace us with their presence and invite bugs. You jut the mountains out at just the right place, but you keep them down in others. You have millions of trees that provide (oxygen (: )a shelter or tree house for little kids (and sometimes teens) to play in.
But on top of that, you bring us life. The ability to walk around, to play, to laugh, to love. You keep us happy, you make us sad (Because winter isn't always the happiest season).
But how do you feel this? Do you feel the happiness from little kids playing hide and seek as they hide in the neighbor's bushes? Do you feel pain for those inflicted on your soul that were wounded in a war? Do you grieve for your fallen forests that you took centuries to nourish and make, to save living creatures that only live there?
Do you weep tears of joy when you feel another baby tree grow?
Do you weep tears of sadness when one is lost?
Do you wonder why people leave their trash on the ground?
Do you feel anger for all of the landfills on your precious self?
You've brought us great things, and the best thing we can do, is to repay you with such gratitude...
Sincerely,
Courtney.

Pillow cases
So I embroidered my brother,s nickname on a piece of fabric for a pillow today. We call him Elder Awesome, and in Spanish it is Elder Asombroso. It's so cool. It made me really want to make a pillow case. So I designed one about fifteen minutes ago, and it has my name and a quote. I picked something that I say all the time and something that has a lot of the way that I talk.
"Dear David, today I saw you and I was like 'whoa it's david'. True story. Love, Courtney. P.s. You smell good"
I mean, is that not me, or what?? Lol. I got it approved by David.
Granted, it is not an easy thing to do, and it will take a while. But I am so excited (:

Dear stupid people of Lehi. Utah
Dear stupid people of Lehi, Utah. ARE YOU SERIUS?? You threaten us with a bomb, locking us in the school, no food and hardly anything to do, and YOU THREATEN US WITH A BOMB?! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! What has pushed so you so far over the edge that you would pit a bomb in a school? Did you have to pee and your teacher wouldn't let you go? Did you fail your math class? Were you so bored in your class that you decided "I hate this." But why did you take it our on us, the humble studets of lehi high school?

My New Years Resolution.
My Cousin Stacey inspired me.
I just want to get them out and in the interweb so maybe I'll actually do them.
1. I want to try out for everything I know I love. I don't want to live in fear of failure, because everything I do will make me stronger.
a. this means Drama 4, Encore, Musical Theater, Ballroom.
b. I want to be on dance team, but I don't think I'm good enough to do that. I only started doing any form of dance last year.
2. I want to lose weight. Or at least be fit enough that I don't gasp for breath after a short sprint.
3. Good grades. I don't do that very well, but I really want to be a great student. I hate having bad grades.
4. I want to be less dramatic. Yes, I am a drama kid, but I don't want to get worked up about things like somebody not answering my question after asking them a thousand and one times. Or getting extremely sad because I keep losing my iPod. It's not cool.
5. Learn how to drive on the highway.

On a smaller note... Actually, it's quite big...
Have you ever wondered what people do when they drive home at night? If you could see what they're doing instead of just looking at a black window because of the lights?
Really, I know there has got to be one texting,
one chatting with an invisible person aloud,
maybe one screaming at every other car.
And I bet there's one that dances like a crazy person while listening to "Tick tock" by Kesha.
So really, what if all of us could see each other? Do you think we'd act that way? Probably not.

Bulletproof Weeks
I decided if I'm listening to music (which I usually am,) and I don't have a title to put this as, I'll put the song title. :) What a good idea :D
So I really don't have much to say...
I have no life right now.
And I'm happy. :)
I'm usually in a bad mood when I write these, but right now, I am happy.
The only problem is that I have a meeting at 10 tomorrow.
Dreading, dreading, dreading.

4 am.
I have been able to sleep very well. I can't sleep until 4 am anymore. What's really odd is that my parents were up until that late/early including my Aunt. It was so bizzare. See, I'd be okay with it if I was sleeping in my room, but my Aunt was there so I was in the family room.
